Daisy Belle Howell

Welsh born and proud, Daisy received a First Class BA Hons in Contemporary Dance from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2017, receiving her Masters in Contemporary Performance after touring internationally with the Post-Graduate Company Verve 2018. Daisy was able perform works by Sita Ostheimer, Lenka Vagnerova, Matthew Robinson and Hannes Langolf, alongside undertaking her place as part of the Studio Wayne McGregor PEER Development Scheme. Daisy has danced for Contemporary Dance Companies across the UK, most notably Extended Play Dance, Jack Philip, Matter of Fact, Gwyn Emberton Dance. Daisy is the Co-Director and founder of the company Night People Events/Brink Dance Company, based in Manchester. Her work explores the cross collaboration of Dance, Digital Art and Sound Design through the premise of rave, youth and club culture. She has received commissions from the SHINE Emerging Artist Programme and Drift Manchester, alongside Dance East, HOME Mcr and Social Conventions London. Alongside her performance and choreographic work, Daisy is passionate about sharing and developing her teaching practice and works across the UK as a Dance Practitioner and Lecturer. Her practice has enabled her to work with various youth organisations, universities and dance companies across Europe, developing a contemporary moving practice that focuses on musicality, joy and groove.
